Coming home to find a dog missing can be heartbreaking, and it's even worse when an animal arrives at a shelter with no identification and no way to get home. In an effort to increase the number of stray dogs returned to their owners, the LA/SPCA will be putting on several special events for residents of the 70117 zip code. Each event will feature free vaccinations, microchips, collars, and rabies tags for owned dogs in 70117. Custom ID tags will also be available for purchase. We will be at a different location the first Saturday of each month this fall and winter. Make sure to bring proof of residency in 70117 and proof of ownership for your dog.

Dogs will receive Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations (with Rabies tag), as well as microchip and collar (if needed).
Unless previously chipped, microchipping is required to receive other services.
Dogs will not receive a heartworm test or full exam which would normally be part of an annual veterinary exam.
Custom ID tags will be available for purchase at the event
Appointments are not necessary. Clients will be served on a first come, first served basis. Upon arrival you will receive a number and may be required to return later in the day for services.
Heartworm and flea prevention will not be available for sale at the event.
Proof of residency is required (ID, utility bill, etc.)
Non residents of 70117 in Orleans Parish can receive all services for a fee of $20.00
Services are not available to out of Parish residents.
Clients will be able to set appointments at the event for free spay/neuter surgery through our S/NAP program.
