Big Bear Bear Girl

Well old girl, you came to us about one year ago, you were a sad sight, so dirty, so wet, so cold, so banged up. Still shaking from the terror of thunder and lightning, we took you in and wondered what to do. You were so big, your paws looked like they belonged to a Bear, and yet you were so gentle and loving, just happy to be with us. We nursed you back to health the best we could. We could only promise you love, food and shelter until the day you passed.

Well old girl, you passed today. A year with you just seemed too short. Bear Bear old girl, you never complained. You just loved. When I told you this morning that it would be alright to go to Heaven you just looked at me with your big beautiful brown eyes, put your big paw on my foot as if you understood. Little did we know that two hours later you would be making a new journey to Heavens Gate.

We cried for ourselves as we gently laid you to rest. Our Hearts are hurting right now, not for you my Dear Friend, but for us. We will never forget the love and kindness from our Big Bear Bear Girl. Rest well, my friend, for we shall see you again some day.
