About Critter Club

Critter Club is a hands-on way for children to get involved with animal welfare in our community and nurture their love of animals. During our 6 sessions, we'll meet after school to discuss animal welfare problems and solutions, as well as ways that students can lend a hand! The purpose of this club is to empower young people to work together to help animals in need. Each session will begin with a discussion of an animal welfare topic and we'll end by spending some time with adoptable animals.

  • Session 1: Introduction to the Louisiana SPCA
  • Session 2: Responsible Pet Ownership
  • Session 3: Understanding Cat Behavior
  • Session 4: Understanding Dog Behavior
  • Session 5: Shelter Animal Enrichment
  • Session 6: Fighting Animal Cruelty in our Community
