Simone Bruni Crouere

In a 10 year, high-heeled career in the New Orleans hospitality industry, Simone Bruni had a finesse and flair to serve others. She used her diplomatic skills from her first job at the Port of New Orleans to catering parties in the city's most exclusive homes to showcasing southeast Louisiana to international meeting planners.  Yet, in one mighty act of Hurricane Katrina, her life changed.  Flooded, laid off, single and fearful, Simone had to pick up the pieces.  Instead of accepting what a tragedy had scripted for her and her city, she rewrote her own playbook. Simone tossed off her high heels for steel tip boots and entered the demolition industry.  As the founder and owner of The Demo Diva Demolition Company, Simone blazed a trail for herself in a male dominated industry and all the while painting the town --- and all her dumpsters and heavy equipment-- HOT pink.  Simone has been invited to share her inspirational comeback story in Japan, Amsterdam, TEDX Napa, US chamber of commerce and even Warren Buffett, himself. Simone is on the board of the Louisiana SPCA, Louisiana Women in Government, Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and a member of Louisiana Women's Forum.
