Dentals

It's recommended that pets get their teeth cleaned annually, just like humans. By keeping your pets teeth in tip top shape you reduce their chance of getting periodontal disease, tooth decay and potential extractions.

Heartworm Treatment

Heartworm disease is rampant in the south and the Greater New Orleans region is no exception. Spread by mosquitoes, heartworm disease affects a large portion of all animals that come to the Louisiana SPCA. Each case of heartworms is different and we require a heartworm consult to determine the best course of action for your pet. The cost of treatment varies based on the size of your pet and includes all of their medications throughout the course of the treatment plan.

For pet owners who adopted a heartworm positive dog from the Louisiana SPCA, we do provide heartworm treatment at NO cost to you. However, we do require that you purchase heartworm prevention.
