In 2018, New Orleans Humane Law & Rescue responded to over 8,000 calls about animals in need, and rescued over 1,100 abused and neglected animals.

Humane Law & Rescue

As part of our mission, we combat animal cruelty through a variety of diverse programs and services including our New Orleans Humane Law & Rescue. Humane Officers serve as educators in the field to teach pet owners how to treat their companions and as peace officers in enforcing New Orleans ordinances related to animal cruelty.

Feral Cat Program

Only through concerned citizens such as yourself can we manage the feral cat populations in our New Orleans area neighborhoods.

Community Clinic

As the region's only high-volume spay/neuter clinic, we offer affordable services that help reduce pet overpopulation and lower the number of animals that enter shelters every year.
