Owner Requested Euthanasia

We are committed to providing the most peaceful and humane end-of-life experience to every animal brought to us for euthanasia and treat every animal with dignity and compassion. To request a euthanasia appointment, please call us at 504.368.5191 – this type of appointment cannot be made online.

The costs to humanely euthanize a pet are based on the pet’s weight.

  • 1-15 lbs: $60
  • 15-50 lbs: $90
  • 51-80 lbs: $120
  • 81 lbs +: $150

Cremation

Communal cremation is an additional cost to the above euthanasia prices. This service is done at our New Orleans Campus and the remains are not returned to you.

For private cremation, we work with our partners at Heaven’s Pets. If you select this option, we will reach out to Heaven’s Pets on your behalf. Once the service is initiated, Heaven’s Pets will reach out to you directly to collect payment and verify all information is correct. They will also offer you additional keepsakes if you choose. Heaven’s Pets will then come to our facility to collect your pet for cremation. Once completed, you can choose to pick up your pet from us or from Heaven’s Pets.

  • Communal Cremation: $50
    • This cost is additional and will be added on top of the euthanasia cost.

Thank you to our Community Clinic partners!

Can you believe there are veterinarians across the country that have never seen a case of Heartworm disease before? Heartworm disease is rampant in the south and the Greater New Orleans region is no exception. Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal condition caused by parasitic worms living in the arteries of the lungs and heart of cats, dogs and other mammals. All cats and dogs are susceptible to infection. Heartworm disease is completely preventable and treatment is safe and inexpensive! Some treatment options include chewable tablets, topicals or injections.  The key is to provide Heartworm preventatives properly and on a timely schedule each month.
