For the last 135 years, the Louisiana SPCA has been an advocate for the animals in our community. Show the animals that you give a lick!

Feral Cat Workshop

Feral Cat TNR is a 2-hour class taught at the Louisiana SPCA and is free to the public. If you have an interest in practicing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) and want to know how to get started, mediate problems, advocate for cats and solve difficult trapping situations, then this is the class for you. This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the municipal ordinances in Orleans Parish as they pertain to cats. Novices are welcome, as are experienced trappers looking to network. Information on local feral-friendly programs and services will be available for distribution, as well as information provided by Alley Cat Allies, a national organization advocating for the rights of free-roaming cats.

Dates

There is no cost to attend Feral Cat TNR, the Basics and Beyond. Classes are limited to 12 people and advance registration is required. All classes take place from 10 am - 12 pm. Our 2018 dates are:

  • March 10
  • May 26
  • July 21
  • September 15
  • November 10
  • December 8

To register, fill out the form below, call 504.762.3306, or email tnr@la-spca.org. We also offer private training sessions upon request. Click here for more information about feral cats and TNR.
